Source:         Backup copies from Ed's and Steve's computer made 
                  in about the 1994 time frame.  

Verification:   Stage2 has been completely reworked, using the printed 
                  score from the 1992 edition as a source.  

Notes:          A new, more compact edition (2nd edition - 2003) was  
                  produced as a result.  A CFT file was constructed 
                  for this file set.  Three additional movements   
                  from the Stage2 file set were added in an appendix 
                  to the edition, but an additional five movements, 
                  which appear in the Appendix to the Philharmonia 
                  recording, are not represented in our Stage2 file 
                  set.  There are some extra Stage1 files, but their 
                  identity is not clear.        

                No attempt was made to update the PARTS or SHORT-score 
                  from the reworked Stage2 files.  The group memberships 
                  are in place to do this, however.
